-Directed a mural with youth and counselors from the Summer Bridge program

-Focused on design of the mural and taught basic techniques of the mural process to youth of different racial and ethnic backgrounds

Community College Foundation Tutor– Spruce Elementary School, South San Francisco, CA

-Afterschool one-on-one tutoring services for eleven students, from grades 1st to 3rd

-Focused on English, Reading and Math.

 

September 2010- June 2011

Hartman Community School Mural Instructor- Santa Cruz County Juvenile Hall, Santa Cruz, CA

-Taught and planned weekly session to incarcerated youth ages 12-17, about the history of murals and their social implication in society

-Created a collaborative mural with incarcerated youth giving them hands on experience

-Provided visual arts lessons in which students where able to learn the basics of using charcoal and shading techniques

-The Step-to-College Program is a community service-learning program that             focuses on students experiencing academic difficulty in La Honda Pescadero         Unified School District, located in the South Coast of San Mateo County

-Mentored and tutored children in Elementary and High School

 

July 2008

Children’s Mural Workshop at Precita Valley Community Center, San Francisco, CA

– Lead a 5-week workshop with children ages 8-14

– Created original mural with children exposing them to new art forms

 

Mission Neighborhood CenterMission Girls Center, San Francisco, CA

-Lead class workshop independently

– Taught inner city girls ages 6-14 on how to paint large scale murals and created a mini mural for a youth arts festival
